Hello!

I have just found your site after searching for info on paranormal activity in Vermont.  I'm a 36 y.r. old mom of 2 and live in southern Vt, south of Rutland.  I'm just curious! I don't know much about hauntings and such from a research standpoint, but it always has interested me.   We have a house that was built in the 1860's, and I am interested in history in general, but specifically the people who used to inhabit this same space as we do in this home.  This lends itself to an interest in the paranormal, I think.

I live not too far from the Eddy home in Chittenden, which I'm sure you mostly know the history of.  I came here to see if I could find any more info about my area and the people of the past who lived here.  I too have heard about the standard Vermont ghost stories - the Eddys, the covered bridge, etc but was hoping for something new & exciting, or just a little conversation!  Nice to meet you!  Smiley

Nice to meet you.  I find history amazing too, the fact that i am sitting, standing, walking in the same places that was occupied by many individuals before me is fascinating.  Have you had any experiences in your home?

We have been trying to get a place in your area to investigate, many stories in that area.

Look forward to hearing from you!

No, I haven't noticed anything here.  It never would have surprised me though.  There's a headstone embedded in our backyard (I don't think someone is buried there, but I don't know what the stone is doing there or what to do with it) and there was also one in our barn when we bought the building.  It actually is a plaque that goes on the family grave in the local cemetery.  (looks like there wasn't enough room on the memorial at the cemetery so one plaque had to be left off - these are the folks who owned our home in the late 1800s) So those items have intrigued me, but I can't say that anyone has tried to contact me that I know of.  The deceased person named ont he plaque was a 19 month old child, and as my children have grown lots of things have happened with their toys, but I've never had the feeling of a presence. A friend of mine who lives just a few miles south of me does claim to have had numerous experiences in her home, as have guests of hers.  When I speak with her, I'll mention you!
