Has anyone had an experience with mist emanating from mirrors?
The first time that I experianced that was when I was a small child and I saw a green mist emanating from the mirror on top of my dresser. For some reason, I was not afraid and I had an overwhelming comfort that the mist was that of one of my deceased relatives and I knew which one it was, even though there was no consistant form and it is mist in different colors. This has happened to me several times throughout my life and each and every time, I knew which person that it was.
I would appreciate any help with this.

When I have seen any green mist, which is the main color that I have seen, it is when I see one of my grandmothers. With my grandfathers, it is a cranberry color and children, it is white.

I myself have not had any experiences with Mirrors but i do recall in my past reading how many people believe mirrors to be portals to the spirit world. There is an article i found here:

When you see the mist how long does it last?
Have you ever tried taking a photo?
Have you ever done EVP work when the mists manifest themselves?
How often do you see the mist?
Do you feel the colors are related to a persons aura?
These sound like interesting experiences.  I would like to hear more about them.

I appreciate the link for the article very much and I will review it in a few minutes, I want to answer your post first.
When you see the mist how long does it last?
I have never timed how long the mist has lasted. I had no sense of time while it was occuring.

Have you ever tried taking a photo?
 
I have never attempted to take a photo and I am sure that once I saw the mist again, I would not even think to take a photo. It would be the last thing on my mind.



Have you ever done EVP work when the mists manifest themselves?
I have never thought of recording an EVP either.
How often do you see the mist?

Normally, when I see the mist, it is when there is a death that is going to occur soon after seeing the mist.

Do you feel the colors are related to a persons aura?

Yes, the colors are associated, when my grandmothers were shown to me, they were the green mist, my grandfathers were shown as a cranberry and children were shown as white. I have seen my grandmothers more than the others. I cannot explain how I know what each one is, I just know at the time who they are and can distingush each one that appears in a mist as a separate entity, even when more than one would be in the same color catagory.

These sound like interesting experiences.  I would like to hear more about them.

The times that I saw the white mist were prior to friends of mine committing suicide and the other friends were murdered.

Dear Kristopher,
I just now had the chance to read the link that you gave me.
I am not a wiccan and have never summoned spirits. I have heard about people sitting in front of a mirror with a candle and staring into a mirror. I do not stare in front of a mirror at all. I have never done any of that. Just want to clarify that since you would not have known.
When the mists/relatives appear, it has been after I have fallen asleep. I am awoken for some unknown reason to see the mist before me in a mirror.
Each and every time this has happened, someone I am related to or close to me dies.

This happened again yesterday.

I would also like to add that a short time ago, I removed the mirror from my dresser and put it away. Yesterday, I had placed a makeup mirror on the stand next to my bed. I had used it when I put on moisturizer while I was in my bed. Without a thought, I left it there and went to sleep. When I went to bed, it was around 11am. That is because I did not sleep saturday night. I was not able to go to sleep until sunday morning.
I always remember the dreams that I had while I was sleeping. They are like movies. I had a very long dream about my uncle yesterday. Next thing I know there was mist coming from above the mirror.
 
My sister called me early this morning to let me know that our uncle had passed away yesterday.
